Mechanical engineers design power-producing machines, such as electric generators, internal combustion engines, and steam and gas turbines, as well as power-using machines, such as refrigeration, air-conditioning systems, elevators and escalators inside buildings.

Electrical engineers, for example, take engineering and focus more on electricity and magnetism, and signals. These engineers in general work on the electrical systems which we see around us.
