What is SSC?
SSC stands for the Staff Selection Commission, an exam-conducting body usually for the government sectors. SSC conducts various exams to recruit candidates to fulfil vacant positions in government sectors. SSC CHSL Syllabus 2023

SSC CHSL Tier 1 Syllabus
SSC CHSL Tier 1 is the first and main step towards success through the SSC CHSL exam where the candidates have to appear for 100 questions competing against lakhs of candidates. SSC CHSL Tier 2 Syllabus
SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam is appeared by only those candidates, who qualify for Tier 1. There will be 30 questions pertaining to this subject and the level of the questions is moderate to advance. The paper will contain questions of both verbal and non-verbal types. Candidates will have to face the questions based on Semantic Analogy Symbolic/ Number Analogy, Trends, Symbolic operations, Figural Analogy, Semantic Classification, Venn Diagrams, Space Orientation, Symbolic/ Number Classification, Figural Classification, Drawing inferences, Punched hole/ pattern-folding & unfolding, Figural Pattern-folding and completion, Semantic Series, Number Series, Figural Series, Embedded figures, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Social Intelligence, Word Building, Coding and de-coding, Numerical operations, Emotional Intelligence, Other subtopics.
SSC CHSL TIER 2 Syllabus for General Awareness
There will be 20 questions in this section and questions are planned to test the candidates’ General Awareness of the environment around them. Candidates will have to face questions related to current events and general awareness.
The main objective of this section is to test the general awareness skills of the candidates and everyday observation & experience in scientific aspects. The test will mainly include questions pertaining to India and its neighbouring countries related to History, Geography, Economic Scene, Culture, General Policy, and Scientific Research.
SSC CHSL TIER 2 Syllabus for Mathematics Abilities
This section will contain a total of 30 questions with it and the students will have to face the question related to the below-provided topics:
- Number Systems: Decimals and Fractions, Computation of Whole Numbers, and Relation between Numbers.
- Algebra: Basic algebraic identities, Algebra and Elementary Surds (mainly simple problems asked) and Linear Equations.

- Measures of central tendency: Mean, Mode, Median, Standard Deviation, and Calculation of Simple Probabilities.
SSC CHSL TIER 2 Syllabus for Computer Knowledge
Only 15 questions will be asked in this section and the students will attempt the questions related to the below-provided topics:
- Computer Basics: Basic Knowledge of Computer, CPU- Central Processing Unit, Input and Output devices, Computer memory, back- up devices, memory organization, PORTs, various Keyboard shortcuts, and Windows Explorer.
- Internet and e-mails: Downloading & Uploading, Web Browsing & Searching, Managing an E-mail Account, e-Banking.
- Software: Windows Operating system comprising basics of Microsoft Office like MS Excel, MS word, and PowerPoint, etc.
